  1. If I am not mistaken, the IS VanKiller in that video. He was the guy who made those, right? Yeah Vankiller would be the guy destroying that van. My wife loves that vid as she hates dodge caravans with a passion. lol Nice to know I still have a couple of fans out there.................got any pictures of yer wife.......................LOL...... HAHA lol Was the cycle rate faster on the .410 than it is on the 12. I've seen a vid of one bumpfiring and it was fast as hell http://home.mchsi.com/~stephen.proud/Saiga...rsus_Barney.MPG The rate of fire was about the same, d

  3. I guess I should of made it clear, that yes I built one once, but I never had enough interest in it to go anywhere. Fun to play with, and easy enough to do, as a Class 2 FFL. (LE or on LE request letterhead) Just wasn't enough interest in the "Baby Beast"..........I think Cobra still has a loop of the 12Ga. "Beast"....
  4. Looks like your getting all the correct information here. The only thing I can think to add, is ,, Don't feel like an Odd Saiga owner,,,,,Hell most of us are........ ...........This might be a pic of Ben's after hours therapy.....
  5. Thanks Ben, You do have a point. All AKM's My creativity outruns my marketing skills.....
  6. I'll take a look at doing one this way, but I think I'd better wait till I get some tactical levers with more leverage to throw the lever on the right side. It would be a hell of a mess to shear off the left side because of the resistance on the orginial style lever. Right now I've set mine up with the same lever on both sides.
  7. I'll try to get another pic out of my dying camera. This shows the right side of my AK with the new safety lever installed. The same lever is used on the right and left side of the weapon. Or the right side only may be installed. This will leave the left side rail mount intact, the ambi will need the side mount removed and clearance cut for the lever. The same patents will cover both safeties so the elves are getting geared up for production.
  8. Kidney beans...............oh, you should hang yer head over that one...........Post sumthing on here when you find out how he's doing. My buddy just went thru the same op and bounced back like a kid.......really impressive the change the new parts make.
  9. I was working on a safety switch as well, but gave up as I ran outta ideas to fix this problem, and didn't want a large scale hole in the side of my weapon. The old Remington 742 used a plastic cover which fits inside the action. I don't think this is that big of a problem. Besides I doubt if a big enough piece of crud will fit thru that little old 1/4 inch slot to jam up an AK.....
  10. I looked at a simple gear setup to reverse the direction of the lever. And I like pulling my thumb towards the pistol grip as I release the safety. If you play with the idea with a gun in your hand you see the advantage of keeping your thumb traveling in the same direction. The tactical lever will be a longer and larger thumb contact point. Also the right side only conversion seems to work well with the smaller lever when using the index finger.
  11. Yes it should take care of the clack...
  12. The ambi safety has ben released...........
  13. How about an ambidextrous conversion with levers on both sides of the rifle? It seems like by addng a right-side lever to the left-side conversion, you could have both. Check my other post, I listed the ambi first.............

    New Safety

I wasn't going to bring this up yet, but the question has come up a couple of times already. So....for those of you who need something to do with your right index finger, besides pull the trigger, or pick yer nose. My design will be available for just the right side of the weapon. This will be a left hand shooter friendly version. I'm waiting on the elves to give me a good tight estimate on production time on the tactical levers. This will make the lever usable with just a right hand safety. Again pulled towards the rear of the weapon. Naturally this will be a little easier conversion and will
  15. I'd like to hear the answer to this question. Do you rotate it counter-clockwise to release the safety? You will rotate this version towards the rear of the weapon
  16. Sounds good Tony........when I first started trying to sell the entry guns and select fire models the biggest hurdle was getting the higher-ups to accept the AK style safety.
  17. John , Good point, I've found two types of rail on my guns, so far, and I can fit this under each with some work. Remove, cut the clearance and reattach. I was trying to use the mill and cut the clearance without removal, and I may still work this out. It will make live a little easier on me.
  18. Check out my other post, under ambi safety
  19. I"d like to install the first 50 or so, just so I can hand fit the little darlings. After I manage to account for most variables then we'll knock out the kits/wholesale pricing..........
  20. I'll try this again..............hey I'm much better with weapons than I am with this damn magic box........
  21. I keep gettin isp error messages........ahh hell you don't need a pic anyway........
  22. Well folks that's it. A new item for our weapons system. Ambidextrous Safety for the AK style rifles and shotguns. I've filed the patent paperwork and here's the only pic I have that came out worth a damn. I'm building a replacement safety with an AR style lever. I've got the prints up for the optional tactical style lever. Going to use about a 30 degree throw. Naturally the web sight is having fits and so is the camera. So you get one crappy little pic tonite. But, both sides are the same. Some modifications to the reciever are required. I'll be retailing this conversion at $195. Pre-paid
  23. Just have a minute, I'll be posting again a little later hopefully with some decent pics of the new item for our Saiga's / AK's
  24. My blueprint guy is coming over tonite to pick up a S&W pre-29, He is supposed to have the drawings with him, soon as the application is in I'll throw the rest of the pics up, and start takin orders Unless these guys just want me to go to the ak forum instead, I mean if they aren't interested..........
