  1. Hey Hey there is a few new ones that I learned that I did not know. Very nicely done!!
  2. BUT like SS just stated, it is the questions like this that keeps the site going AND getting new members. I know it gets tiresome answering the same questions all the time but that IS what pulls in new members. I have not been here very long at all but I have got a wealth of knowledge here just by reading. I spend a couple of weeks coming here reading before I ever joined. I think alot of the new people are searching at that moment and want an answer, they do not take the time to use the search,But I have been guilty of that before myself. Keep answering and keep growing.
  3. I read here when I am at work, each morning I have something new to go home and check on my Saigas. Now I just need to look and see the barrel on the 308 and see if it might have the threads as well, although I have not heard of anyone finding a threaded barrel on one. I love this site, keep this thread going guys!!!!!!
  4. Just get a Mod to make a sticky then we could all post the ones we know. The ones that would be the most helpful would be the ones related to the Saigas.Just my .02 cents worth.
  5. HAHA thats some good ones for sure. I do really like the KTSOMAK. Ill be using that one.
  6. When I was just starting to learn about the Saigas and came here it took awhile for me to figure out what the acronyms were. I would be good for all the newbies that wonder in to have a sticy with what each one stands for.
  7. Yep what they both just said, I just finished mine and I am glad I went ahead and did the conversion. And yes you have to put the little bullet guide in there and slightly grind the mag realease to get regular AK mags to fit.
  8. Thanks Sailor, I have done the same with the light and see what looks like the first thread of a left hand thread. I am going to have to see if it is threaded even though mine is dated in "08"
  9. ok I got it Thanks guys, I was just seeing some of the guys here posting the month and year and was wondering how you know the month.
  10. Ok so the start of my serial numbers on my 7.62 and my 308 is H04 & H08 so it means that one was made in 2004 and one in 2008? How are you guys able to know the month.
  11. Ok maybe Im a tard, but even using the search I can not find where to tell what date the Saiga I have was manufactured. Can someone point me in the right direction. Maybe I have just inhaled tooooo much burning gun powder lately (if there is such a thing).
  12. Ok so it is a shroud and not threaded on? That might have been what I was missing when I was reading the other threads. I just wasnt understanding why if it was threaded that you would be unable to "unscrew" it. But Now I see said the blind man. Thanks for the info!!
  13. If you can see what appears to be the start of threads on the tip of the barrel, can you not just try and turn it and remove it that way? OR is there somethiing that makes you have to cut it to get it off? Sorry I am a newbie to the Saigas and had been reading the section about the threaded barels and it looks like mine may be threaded. Thanks in advance for any replies.
