  1. Before i try. I was wondering if it was possible to rethread threads? If not i guess im going to have to move back my front sight block forward again and go with the SGM clamp on muzzle brake route. Im sure that would fix the problem. Too bad they didnt make a 74 style clamp on brake
  2. After reading this topic. I decided to thread my .670 barrel to 5/8-24. I used a 5/8-24 die with the TAT tool and screwed on the muzzle break on top of the TAT to make sure it was aligned. Everthing seamed good so i took off the TAT after 4 threads. I finished threading and put on the brake but noticed my muzzle brake was slightly slanting to one side. I think somewhere after the 4 threads something went wrong. I was wondering if anyone had the same problem and also if anyone knew how to fix this
  3. i dont know what kind of Win748 your using. im assuming you mean Winchester 748. its a good thing i only bought a pound of that and tried it. their was no fireball at all. and the powder felt weak. at least i learned that not all ball powders make that fireball.
  4. ill be trying win748 this weekend. ive seen it in stock at the store i go to. i would like to try silver bear but i have never seen that brand in any of the stores around here. thanks for the info
  5. with imr4895 and varget i get about 2 1/2 to 4 inch groups at 100 yards. with the blc-2 i get 1 1/2 to 3 inch groups at 100 yards. thats why like the blc-2. im usually at the range about 11:00am and the sun is bright and beaming above. with the blc-2 you could still see that fire ball. im beginning to think it makes that fireball because blc-2 is a ball type powder.
  6. im not too sure myself but...i think it could be the type of powder that makes that fireball. ive also tried varget and imr4895 and their was no fireball. i also max loaded those.
  7. been recently loading .308 for my saiga 16" barrel. noticed BLC-2 powder makes a nice size fireball and good accuracy. deals on that powder are always on short supply here and been reloading to save money. i was wondering if anyone knows other options than BLC-2 to make that fireball?
  8. thanks for the info... i decided to purchase a new saiga
