  2. --> QUOTE(Michael B @ Apr 9 2007, 09:11 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Great story Hunter. To bad you didn't have a 100 drum for the AR to go with the pistols. My tactical trainer has a neigbor that evidently thinks guns should be outlawed, as well a carry permit. Picture this....when he weeds his garden wearing sandals and shorts he also wear's his Gock 40! Lets see, If I purchse a hous near an airport...shouldn't the airplanes be banned becase of noise abatement laws??? My brother is a city cop and he does the same thing, its funny watching the general public get freaked out
  3. I am from a small town called Cle Elum in central Washington, however the nearest town to where I grew up is Easton and for all you TV watchers if you remember the show Nothern Exposure thats my town, they filmed it there. My graduation class in 01 was 9. Curently I am living near Seattle due to my work situation and I hate every second of it. Its amazing what a 100 mile differance can do to peoples kindness. I went from waving at everyone and going out of my way to make sure they have a nice day to a conceded ses-pool. Dont get me wrong there are some really kind people in the city and w
  4. Mccumber1916- I am sure the county's got a kick out of me, but I think the neibors really love me . I think the iceing on the cake was leaving the parents house and stomping on the gas (2500HD 496 with very loud duals) leaving the driveway with the neibors outside, I think I saw a vein pop in the womans forhead . What do they expect when they move to the country, gunshots, dead animals, and loud trucks.
  5. --> QUOTE(Michael B @ Apr 8 2007, 09:00 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> May your card get hit soon Hunter! How's your conversion comming? The conversion is going good other then a few "oh shits". Just need to drill a few more holes and slap in the FCG( man I hope its that easy ). Cant wait to get it done, I think it will be one sexy biatch especialy with the shark break .
  6. Well no charge to my card as of yet but I am pretty sure I am low on the list. But tomorrow is another day .
  7. Yeah I was actually mad at my self for starting the conversion, I would have loved to throw 50 or so 00buck down range just to be loud as hell. It does'nt help the neibors are at the bottom of the valley and my parents place is up the hill side. Everything echos and funnels right down to them, I am sure it sounded like a war was breaking out next to there house .
  8. Thanks Gary for the kind comments however if you saw some of the nicks and "ahh shits" you would know I need to be a little more steady. I figure getting the pistol grip hole just right will be the hardest part out of all of this, but we will see. Mccumber1916, from what I can tell it would pretty damn easy to do with out the folder. You would just have to install the ar adapter on to the reciever block first then screw in the socom or other Ar stock then index it with the castle nut and you should be done. I almost went this route to keep the cost down a little but I said screw it, I like
  9. Hi guys I have been reading and researching S12 conversions so I can complete my own. All I can say is the FAQ and the search function have been a real life saver. Also to those that are a little standoffish on doing this yourself, have no fears it is pretty straight forward and fairly simple and after you start you realize there not much to it. But take your time if useing a dremel and pay attention where the other side of the cutting wheel is when you cutting off the upper tang for the reciever block(dont ask me how I know). So far I have the following completed. Trigger guard is o
  10. Dang White Noise! Living in the hinderland, shooting and pissing off your back porch, a whole possie of gun toting youngum boys. Each one of them got at least one dog each? Sounds like the making of a Hank Williams Jr. song. Just grinning with ya. I was raised so far back in the piney woods in Louisiana I bet when I was a kid I would of considered you a city fella! School was K to 12 in one building, grad class of 16, 9 of us there since grade 1. Hah, got you beat, K-12 one building and a grad class of 9 in 2001. Well eight I forgot to take a class . Now that is a nice looking s
  11. Hi guys I chatted with Tony today about adding a small item to my order (j-point mount, shark break) and he said that the breaks should be in this week and he should have them all coated up by the end of the week and orders should start shipping. I would say cut him some slack and give him till monday before he ships . Anyways I figured there were others here that are patiently waiting for the s12 shark breaks and I figured I might save Tony a call or too by posting a update. Ryan M
  12. Bobash, ahhh yes I appologize this thread is for the rifle brakes. I kinda spaced this very obvious fact as I am on some painkillers and not exactly running 100% this last week or so. I guess I will have to just wait it out as I really dont have the heart(balls) to call with you guys being as busy as you are. Regardless thanks for humoring me, Ryan M
  13. Nice to hear the recoil was eliminated that much, also when do you think these will be back in stock? I got a order in for the brake and a jpoint mount but I cant bring my self to call and harass Tony . Maybee I will email him 39 times . Ryan M
  14. Cheak out the FAQ right above the s12 forum in the main room that shows the different forums, it has some good info. The info you are looking for is the last thread in the FAQ forum.
  15. Just picked up a Jpoint in anticipation of getting this mount. Thanks Tony for the mount it will be a nice addition to my conversion.
  16. Well I was going to go with the CTR but decided against it as the Socom was only 20 bucks more overall after all parts were bought. I was going to go with the galil style handguard and Dinzags HG retainer but I found the russian handguard with the lower rail attatched already for $50 so I went for it, and I think it is a drop in. I like the Galil style hand guards but I think they would look alot better with the skeleton style stocks. The shark brake I want just because it looks bad ass and if I ever ran out of ammo I can use it like a bayonet . Sorry I am not to helpful on the questions as I
  17. Well I ordered up the folowing, I hope I did'nt forget anything: 1. Ace socom side folder and cut the dang tang reciever block( thanks guido2 for the pix) 2. Russian handguard with bottom rail 3. Tapco single hook G2 with Ak retaining plate 4. Ergo AK grip 5. Jerics LRBHO(still need to order) 6. Tromix Shark brake(need to order) 7. Tromix Jpoint mount(need to order) So hows this look? Am I missing any small parts that are needed? Thanks guys for your help, Ryan M
  18. Thanks for the reply, and I actually am curious about you question too about a side folder colapsable. Ryan
  19. Hi guys I need some help specing out a conversion for my bone dry S12. I have a pretty good idea of what I want since I did some searching just need your guys knowledge to make sure I am not forgetting something or have some sort of conflict of parts. Thanks in advance guys. Well below is what is on my list thus far. 1. Ace side folder(do I want a internal or external block?) or/ T6 Collapsable from Tapco 2. Tapco Galil style handguard w/ rails or the stock looking handguard from gilberts with the bottom rail. 3. G2 FCG from Tapco(do I want single or double hook?) 4. Pistol grip from Ta
  20. My mags shiped today,order # 464, thanks AGP.
  21. Thanks, I got a overall idea of what I want in the end. I just need to go through all the options and pick which ones will help me get there. Idealy #s05 on the tromix site is what I am shooting for or atleast something along those lines. The conversion will probably have to wait a little while though as I have spent way to much money in the last month on way to many goodies. Two pistols(p14 and a p12) the shotty and about a grand on my truck. I also just heard from my brother that his buddy might have found me a 68 camaro RS....so money is about to get real tight real fast, come on raise kick
  22. Hi guys, I finally joined the Saiga crowd with a stock 109 S12 . Got it for $449 . I plan on researching the crap out of the threads involving convertions so I can try and figure out what grips and stocks I can use(any help on this would be great). I already know that I would like the ace folder and a railed forarm of some kind to attatch a grip and reddot too. I am order# 464 from AGP so hopefully with some luck the mags will ship this coming up week. Well thats all for now guys hopefully my search-fu is strong and I dont have to ask the same ole' questions that never get any awnsers . Ryan
  23. No worries, thanks for the heads up I appreciate it. Well off to buy a P14 to hold my saiga bug off.
  24. Thanks for the heads up, were these from dealers or privite party sellers? My B-day is the 22nd so the WAC show might be a good B-day present to myself if there is a converted S12. Ryan M
