they make a universal handgaurd that has a flat top with rails. the optic specific piece doesn't have to be put on. although to get the optics specific rail you will need to get a ak gas tube

hahaha not worried about not being able to muscle through it more so of getting it straight and what not.

Did you use a drill or do the tap by hand? I don't want to use a drill and strip it but I dont know if I can do it by hand.

So i just purchased my saiga 7.62 rifle with a 16 barrel. I am really excited to get it and start modifying it. I bought it from carolina shooter supply for $359 this morning and it should be at my FFL on monday, i can't wait to shoot it, already bought 100 rounds ready to put through it. (i know, not a lot but i don't have a ton of time with school and work) Anyway, I am planning to move up FCG and adding a pistol grip etc. but my only question is how hard is the bullet guide to install? i for sure want to do it but after reading i have seen mixed reviews about it. oh yeah, greg a
