  1. I'm a bit late to Parf's post but, man, is he right! I have an inline 12ga muzzleloader with a cheap Truglo Gobblestopper red dot. It's really a turkey gun but some of my buddies were shooting clays one day (many of them, like myself, aren't really shotgunners). They'd never shot a muzzleloader so I offered the muzzleloader to them to shoot. Out of a dozen shots, there were no misses from anyone (obviously no doubles but no misses either . Yeah--red dots are "cheating" and make bustin' clays stupid easy!
  2. Thanks for the report, sickness. It's exactly the kind of quality first-hand information I was hoping to get. > Grind out the teeth of your pic rail, pull off the pic base of the M21, and screw the M21 directly to the rail. I thought about milling it down and doing just that. I doubt I'll ever want to mount another optic on the low profile side rail and, even if I do, they are quick release mounts and I can buy another one. It really makes sense to just screw the M21 directly to the mount. I'll probably go for it and buy the M21.
  3. I have a low profile quick release side mount. I borrowed my EOTech XPS3 from my AR and found it to be too high for my S-12, or at least it was less than optimal. I'm more interested in a battery-less reflex sight for my Saiga anyway. The Trijicon RX30 looks nice and big and low, but it doesn't have the reticle options of the Meprolight and Trijicon won't replace the tritium when it goes dim, which Meprolight is willing to do for a charge that's substantially less than a new sight--at least that's what Meprolight told me. Most reviews say the Mepro is also less prone to reticle blooming an
  4. Well...there is the Littleton: http://littletonshotmaker.com/ I just buy my shot and sometimes use it to cast bullets, now that lead wheel weights are becoming more scarce. I recently picked up one of the new Lee 18 ball 00 shot molds but haven't had a chance to use it yet. Trap and light game loads are so cheap, I usually just buy the ammo but load my own turkey and other "magnum" loads.
  5. Or how about a laser for use with night vision? Seems like a good place to put my home-made, custom IR laser. Zombies come at ya' fast and especially so at night!
