  1. I've been following this thread since it started. Can't really comment too much on what occurred. I believe gunfun is doing a very good job of reminding us what the law is to keep our stuff straight.

Haven't seen any drones in my neighborhood, but I'm still looking into what I can do. Briefly looked into jamming radio signals but a lot of vague Internet research said its illegal to jam radio signals. Or at least, to own the equipment that can do it. Is any if that true?

Seems like a fun project to try, but if building a jammer is illegal, if just as soon shoot the damn thing and deal with that. ETA also noticed most of the jamming stuff I skimmed jammed in the 500-1000 MHz range. My 2 minute amazon drone research seems to show most operate in the 2.4ghz range. I have a couple members ill pm for clarification.

As a side note, I've looked a bit into paintball guns. Ill do some research, but I'm pretty sure a paintball gun would jack up a drone pretty bad. Obviously not one 300 feet in the air as that guy "claims" his was.( I'm with Stryker on this one. I don't buy the flight plan schtick. ) But at the least you could hit the camera with paint. And those rotors are pretty delicate.... And no getting arrested for discharging a firearm.

  2. Thanks GOB.

Yeah. Had a good reminder with the ribs for a few weeks. Evidently did not learn my lesson as I shortened one of my fingers a bit today trying not to shut down an elevator divorcing an old piece of crap. Hey. At least no one appreciates it. Hopefully enough grows back for Monday.

Not sure if you heard before you retired. The new policy is to donate $3 for each member killed on the job each quarter. Been going on a year it so.

Haven't given less than 6 each quarter.

We are one if the smallest unions.

Tired if seeing decent men die for the dollar.

Good to see you made it GOB. Doubt ill be as fortunate

  3. Sorry guys meant to guests. I tend to work in areas with no signal, and when I finish, for some reason I have to turn my phone off than back on to get it to dial or go online. When I do that and come here, I have to to scroll to the bottom to get the full version. Been doing that for about a year. Passing glance at members online was average.

About 2 weeks ago the number of guests spiked. Massively. And has continued. A 1000% increase in traffic is noteworthy. Just wondered if anyone else noticed

Also eta. Well said gunfun, well said. And YOT brings up a good point. But not really any new members. Why?

Edited edited to add. My phone show 240 guests 6pm cst. Anybody think that's normal?

  4. I lurk more than I post, but I have to admit I've noticed a LARGE number of guest members lately. Ie. we usually have 5-10. Last week or so I've seen 150. A day. I'd like to think its just an uptick on the interest in saigas.

But no new members. Kinda curious since no new saigas for a few months.

Anybody else notice? My tinfoil is quite snug and looking for suggestions....

Or is my phone just stooooopid?

  5. Would be really tempting to use dragons breath, but a horrible idea.........

Ok I'm dumb but I have to bite. Assuming dg is legal and you fire it in a manner not to catch other stuff on fire why wouldn't this be a good idea for drones? ( aside from casting light on the specialty ammo section. )

Other than that. Does this guy have one of those accounts people can donate money to? I'd love to give this guy a few bucks.

  6. Well it's been a rough couple months- between having to pay for auto body work after something hit my car, replacing my hot water heater, and going to urgent care to get some bruised ribs checked out, I've changed my plans.

I'm only planning on buying these because I do think they'll be NFA items within a couple years, but to honest, for myself, it's an answer to a question I didn't ask. I know some guys like them, and more power to you, but for me, I think I'm better off spending the rest of the money I had reserved for this project on stocking up on mags for the stuff I do have.

Thanks for all the input guys. If they're still available when I get the chance, I do plan to go to hardened arms, mas defense and Atlantic

  7. So I've been making some posts in the demotivational poster thread and I was looking for some gun based ones when I found these. The mentality of poster is absolutely idiotic. Initially I had planned to post them in that thread, but I decided I didn't want that crap touching what is an overall very fun thread. Plus I like to here some input from some of the folks here.

Again, I know preaching to the choir, but seriously? A person with mental health issues kills multiple people, and he wouldn't have done it if only the rifle had been illegal.

Yeah, I'm sure he thought ( as if I could understand any thought process of a cowardly nutjob)

"Hey, I want to go and hurt a bunch of people". Oh wait, I can't use a rifle. " ok, I'll just go to the mall and buy some new pants from old navy instead "

I believe syndicate made a post about a crazy guy in china that killed about as many people in china around the same time with a butcher knife. Yeah, no guns=no killing got it

I could piss and moan about this one line for line a dozen different ways, but a simple summary is that the author completely misses the point. And I highly doubt an threat to the present would be answered by 911 in 4-5 minutes by two officers.

This is the one that chaps my ass the most. Seriously? The best defense he can come up with is " he already killed all the people he wanted to and had left? Seriously? That's the dumbest thing I had heard in a long long time. He had already left? Was he leaving for another gun? To drive his car into gym? I dont know. how can the author? i'm sure more than a few there are grateful that the assistant principle shot his sorry ass

Anyways rant over. Point being though, scary enough, there are some people out there who actually BELIEVE this line of crap.

    Stay safe guys

  8. Just wondering if any congressman or senator was ever concerned his security detail was "over armed" if the good men and women who defend our politicians are so potentially inept with the firearms they are fully qualified to carry, than obviously they shouldn't have them on their persons when defending said politicians

There is an obvious, much safer approach. Anytime a politician is around, just post "this is a gun free zone" stickers everywhere. I mean, hey, they say that's good enough to protect every child in America. It should be more than enough for a few politicians....

  9. Thanks for the update darth. I've been in the habit of ordering a bit every time it was in, but I'm going to have to sit this one out. I had most of my fun money tied up in ar pistol plans, but between paying for body work after something hit my car, and now just having to replace my hot water heater after it crapped out on me, I'm down to probably just one upper for the time being and no GT.

At least vepr and vympel seemed to have dodged the EO, that's a small ray of sunshine from that whole mess.

BTW, good to hear you're going strong spacehog, keep it up

  10. Well I was at my local shop today and I definetly have to agree with sjmismc21. That thing was front end heavy as hell. Finish was nice though. I'd definetly consider a x39 down the line ( one was already in consideration, but it was like 35, not 3)

Not going to take the front burner. But it does seem like a nice rifle. If I can get a 39 in a year or two ill grab it. If not, I'll survive.

  11. Thanks dad :)

Honestly, deko had pissed off several senior members here, caused big John , a contributor , to leave and for me to question if I want to stay. It constantly verbally vomits in multiple thread to the point that which I activilly avoid any threads it has posted in.

But hey. That's just me. I think deko is of no use to this forum and detrimental to the future of this site. At best it is tolerated. But it really brings nothing good to this forum. ( if anyone has an issue with me using "it" please feel free to message me. I've done this before.
