I was fortunate with my 09 also, all the desirable features.

The striations look a little off center in the foto, do you have a micrometer to check yourself? If not then there are other ways to check center, measure from the hole to the edge on one side then the other. It may be designed that way for enough material where the slot is.

Is this a good deal? Klimovsk Specialized Ammunition Plant (KSAP) made in russia Aim has this for $189.99 / 1000 Its not too bad for sp's. Fmj's are less exspensive.

Thanks for the info, since the stock basically has a pistolgrip built in I was concerned if he went that route without more conversions.

Got a buddy who is looking at Saigas but wants a Dragunov stock instead of pistolgrip. I told him I thought that may be illeagal w/o U.S.conversion. Am I right or wrong? He wants the russian model. Thanks.

Got my 7.62 conversion a couple of weeks ago and was dissapointed that the time was not spent to reinstall the bho. I am not sure of where I could even order the parts to install myself. My reason for wanting that feature is to run the bore w/o taking apart the receiver. I have seen the safety latch with the tab that holds the bolt but that is a chickenshit way to perform a natural function. Some other gripes, bottom of receiver near stock was ground down and not repainted and is now slightly rusted. some metal shavings left inside receiver. did not include original stock as advertised. d
