To the OP....Izhmash changed their name. How do you come up with a statement like " now they are officially about to cease to exist " are you implying the S12 will no longer be imported because of a name change??

Pics? Standard S.308 ( IZ-138) with wood furniture instead of poly. This is a S.308-ver.21 You'll notice that the IZ-138 is in an unconverted configuration, i.e. crappy trigger linkage. The S.308-ver.21 is in original factory configuration, the factory trigger without the linkage is actually acceptable, with a little work its nice. Date of Manufacture (DOM) can be determined by the serial number, e.g. H09******** would be DOM 2009, first two numbers are the year. What are these new Saiga 308's turning up on gunbroker? They have wood stocks and the 21" bbl. I looked in my blue book of gun values and it said it was produced betweeen 2002 -- 2006, Im pretty certain this a new production gun. Anyhow, I got a new one for 575, couldnt turn it down.
