  1. If not bites this week I'm going to post it on GunBroker.
  2. Thanks for the kind words Red. I had that cheek riser on because I usually have a PK-AS red dot sight attached to it. it can easily be taken off or even the soft parts scraped off.
  3. I'm selling my Saiga 12 that I converted myself. The rear tang is cut off for the Tromix polymer stock with folding adapter (folding to the right side atm). Attached to the stock is a tromix cheek riser. Has a Hogue pistol grip, Tromix D-I-Y trigger guard, and Tapco single hook FCG. Also has a Carolina Shooters Supply puck, Tac-47 Auto plug that is tuned to the shotgun, and a Poly-Choke II Breacher. The shotgun has ~600 rounds through it, and I've hunted with it in Ohio for two deer seasons. Thats why they cheek riser is kinda tattered, going through brush and what not. Shes a fine shoot
  4. I'm going to have to try this out now, I've been wanting to get a PSL or dragunov type handguard on my 308. Im guessing the polymer handguards will be tougher to modify with the end result not looking like crap.
  5. Ok, ill check out the titusville range in few days. It's only a half hour from where I'm at.
  6. Hey all, I just moved to Florida with a friend in the Port St. John area ear Cocoa Beach. Could anyone recommend any good ranges around? I realize that the state is pretty crowded and there might not be any longer range shooting areas, but if there is I'd love to try it out.
  7. I agree completely. Shooting paper is nice and all, but hearing that register of metal on metal with a second delay in the sound is SO much better. I welded 3 swinging 12" plates in 1/2 inch steel and always set them up on the range. Other people at the range only bring paper and when I put up my steel gongs I can see the jealousy in their faces. Then I become the awesome nice guy and allow them to hit my plates if they want. So long as it ain't bigger then my 308. I hear so much flak about AK style sights, but personally I love them and the irons especially on the 308 are spo
  8. The stock is rock solid, my only slight gripe about it is the hand grip part of it protrudes a quarter inch or so past the trigger guard. It doesn't really mess with my trigger pull though. I thought about sanding it down so its flush but I'm not confident enough to make the plastic look like it was made that way. I wanted to stick with a comblock "Dragunov" style firearm, so i went with the Dragunov reticule and non-pro version of scope instead of a mildot. I don't expect to be making sub-moa shots with this platform, but I feel confident enough placing some lead on a human sized targe

  10. Its probably me not being used to it, but at 300 yards its harder to keep it rock steady on target. With the white hits I used sandbags on the front and rear of the rifle and it was much more stable. I used the bipod first, and was not happy with the result and knew I had to make a more stable platform.
  11. Thanks! It's a Black Horse Arsenal SVD stock. They actually import real dragunov svd stocks and convert them to work for PSLs and AK type rifle.
  12. Thank you, its a Black Horse Arsenal SVD buttstock. Not exactly cheap, but I think it was worth it.
  13. Hey all, I don't post too often but I couldn't hold it in any longer. I love these damn Saigas! I joined the Saiga cult at a local gun show when I purchased an unconverted Saiga 12 gauge last summer. Since converting it and customizing, I used it to go deer hunting and took two nice sized does. After that, I had to have another Saige type rifle! I set my eyes on a Saiga 308 and pulled the trigger on a 21" for $550 on gunbroker. I always liked the Dragunov marksman rifle and decided to dress my new rifle like it, a "Saiganov" if I may. Shes getting there. She has an Arsenal
  14. Zanesville, OH area here. About an hour east of Columbus. I shoot at the Briar Rabbit Shooting Range, has a nice 400 yard rifle range and great outdoor pistol range.
  15. From the album: Saiga .308, 21"

Closeup of bipod, magazines rock in and out without catching on the hardware.
  16. From the album: Saiga .308, 21"

Recently added Versa-Pod bipod with mini-14 adapter. Still a work in progress, but so far I'm in love.
