  1. LOL, remember that it you ever get charged for menacing. I'll keep that in mind. Maybe I should paint Ivan pink? http://www.saigastock.com/saiga-12-ga-wooden-furniture-set-color-razzmatazz-p-6393.html?zenid=2b21eec8c7ce8ca2b5b9a79a92dc916d ...and change his name to Barbie.

  3. Decided to leave Ivan all black. Looks more menacing that way.
  4. Where can I get a wood forestock, or hand guard for my converted Saiga 12?
  5. I suggest you listen carefully to Cobra's Custom. He helped me out a great deal. I was using after market stuff like the auto plug and fancy pucks. He patiently explained to me what I should be doing. I sent my internals to him for polishing and re-profiling. My Saiga now runs like a bad ass Russsian bear using just factory parts. This man knows these guns.
  6. Large Size. 5 1/8"x1 3/4" up to 5 3/8" x1 7/8" Sells for $38.99 Purchased for Saiga Sporter. Installed VERY SHORT time. Will sell for $27 shipped.
  7. Well, it's like this. I watched an episode of Deadliest Warriors that pitted Russian Spetsnaz Special forces troops against U.S. Green Berets. The Green Berets used Mossberg pump 12 gauge as their close in weapon while the Russians used Saigas. I was so impressed with the Saiga I kept talking about them for days. Come Christmas time, she remembered and bought one at a LGS. Yup, I think I'll keep both her and the Saiga.
  8. My lovely wife gave me a new Saiga 12 2 Christmas's ago. At first I was thrilled. I took it out back and shot it numerous times. I noticed a lot of the infamous FTEs. Started researching and decided I needed to get the bolt & carrier polished, so I sent it to he who shall remain un-named. After like 4 months, I finally got my parts back (at least I got them), they looked great. I re-installed them and it ran a bit better. Still not the Range Monster I hoped for. Decided the problem probably (not prolly) was in the gas block. I acquired the courage to disassemble the gas block. Found the 4
  9. I ordered a white and a red Lacquer Stik. For the red in the "F", do I just put the red on the "F", or do I put the white on first, then the red?
  10. Got a question. Do you recommend any type of lubricant on your steel magazines?
  11. FINALLY filed enough off to get the magazine to snap into place. Stuffed 8 rounds into her and took her out back. 8 out of 8 flawless. Might hit it a little bit more with the file, but I'd say, the magazine works very well. Very nice workmanship. Not cheap, but then again, it is cheaper than the Ruskie 8 rounder. Get some!
  12. Seems like I've seen 2 round mags sold somewhere.
  13. I received my magazine today. Very nice workmanship, but I will say this-filing it to fit is a bit more difficult than claimed. The first part filing until the mag would go all the way in wasn't that hard. I am still working on the second part, filing until the catch will snap into place. I wore myself out and it still isn't snapping into place. Will work some more on it tomorrow.
  14. I hope things continue to look up. I got my parts done by Pauly obviously just before he went over the edge. He did a great job on my bolt & carrier, so I know he is capable of good work. Keep going Pauly, get these guys their parts and keep the quality up. Saigas don't make great door stops or paper weights.
  15. I used the discount on a recent order. If I remember, You have to continue on with the order to the part where you enter your shipping address and CC#. There is a box where you can enter gift card or coupon. It's only 5%, but every bit adds up. Good luck.
  16. I gave in and ordered one. Still think they're a bit spendy, but I had to try one for myself.
  17. OK, this is just out of curiosity. I have had my Saiga 12, purchased new, about 2 years. During that time I had the bolt & carrier polished. I also converted it myself. I sent the FCG to Cobra's Custom for polishing and hammer re-profiling. The gun runs great now and also looks great with an M4 adjustable stock. Now, my question is, with the import ban, have I helped or hurt the value of my gun. I have absolutely no plans to get rid of her, I love it, but just wondered if all the time and money I have put into it has helped or hurt it's value. Just curious.
  18. I don't really NEED another magazine, but I'd like to try one of the CSSPECS steel mags out. Since I don't really need one, I will probably (that's the way it is spelled, not prolly) wait until there is some kind of sale.
  19. I really don't feel the need for another $55 mag plus $7 shipping. I have several poly mags that all work well. On the other hand, I am very curious about the steel mags, and have read a lot of rave reviews on them. If they ever go on a sale, maybe $40 - $45 or even free shipping I will most likely try one.
  20. Yup, mine cycles fine from the hip
