I was curious and wanted to check my port holes to see what size they were. One hole was block and the other 3 could hardly push a .055 drill bit thru with my fingers. So I opened them up with a 5/64 bit to factory specs since I had it apart.

The barrel shrouds do look cool, but I won't be interested in one unless they make one the you can also add a polychoke to it.

I shot 75 rounds so far. It will be a few weeks b4 I have a chance to shoot it again. I will polish the bolt & do the gas block mod b4 I take it out again. Then I will shoot a few hundred rds of high brass next time.

I heard other people have no problems shooting federal 7 1/2 shot with their new S12s. I was hoping to cycle the bulk ammo in setting 2.

I like the looks of a barrel shroud. To bad you can not add a choke on the end of the shroud.

Took out the S12 for the first time. Was not happy with it. New 2011 model with 4 port holes. All factory set-up except Phoenix kicklight butt stock. Tried 3 different shells. I don't know if the kicklight stock would cause problems. I what to make it work using this stock. Federal 4 shot = Would jam everytime in #1 on factory plug, works good, no jams in #2 plug setting. Federal 7 1/2 shot bulk pack from walmart = Jams everytime in #2 plug setting Winchester 8 shot bulk pack from walmart = The bolt would not even open up to try to eject empty shell. I want to get rid of the plastic thread protector on my new S12. I was thinking of a polychoke or a brake. I want something that works and looks cool. I really don't know which one to get. So what do other members have and like?

Thanks for the awsome looking pics and ideas from everyone. I'm surprized the Chaos don't increase production so they are not always on back order. I don't like to order something that is on backorder. It could take months before you get it. I bet Chaos loses some customers for not having items it stock. This Sunday I hope to shoot my S12 for the first time (NIB). I hope it cycles the federal and winchester bulk pack from walmart with no problems. Thinking about adding a quad rail to my S12. Amazon has several different brands that the rail looks all the same. Is their any brands I should stay away from?

After trying hitting it with the wood block and boiling water I ended up taking the roll pin out. After the roll pin was out I found their was a burr in the hole where the roll pin goes through. That was the problem. Because I couldn't install the other pin back in until a found and removed the burr. Thanks for your help. Let me get this clear on the gas settings before I shoot it the first time. #1 is for high brass and #2 for 6 - 8 shot? I bought some Winchester universal 8 shot to see if will work with the gun.

The pin is stuck under the surface so their is nothing to grap on it. It is still under spring pressure because I can still push the pin down a little bit and it moves back up.

The pin still does not come out after 30 minutes of messing around with it. I even took out the plug and puck. Any other ideas? This is a brand new gun that has never been fired and this is the first time the pin was pushed in.

Can't really find anything about factory gas plug adjustments. I pushed the pin in to turn the gas plug. The pin stays in and wont come back out to lock the plug. Adjusting between 1 and 2 do you line the slots in the plug with the pin?

I just joined today because I received my new sporter style Saiga 12 last week. I have been reading on here and watching youtube videos on mods for my gun. I seen people are moving the trigger forward but I'm not interested doing that mod at this time. The first thing that needs to go is the cheap plastic sporter stock that comes with the gun. I ordered a Phoenix Tech KICKLITE 6 POS ADJUSTABLE RECOIL STOCK for my Saiga 12. I hope some of you members can give me good feedback of this item since I already ordered it.
