  1. Wonder why saiga went with the 1-2-3m sight, not that I would want to shoot out any further....
  2. I think you are right, the numbers on the sight go from 1-8. Anyone know where I can get the correct sight, I prefer not to change the sight that came with it.
  3. I wanted to open the rear sight of my Saiga and decided to just buy a standard AK sight and open it up swap them out and not mess with the factory sight. After comparing the two sights I see that the one I bought is a little shorter in length then the factory sight. Is this an issue, would it affect anything?
  4. Have you shot it much yet? I am impatiently waiting for mine to arrive sometime this week. Yes I have shot it. No problems shoots good!
  5. IndyArms If I understand correctly. Since I have added a PG, I now need to remove one more foreign part and add a US made part.
  6. I am now down to 10 so I believe I am in compliance. I was counting the disconnecter/trigger as one part. Thank you for schooling me.
  7. Following the the stickys and then unchecking the items I replaced would indicate I am not in compliance, would you please confirm this based on the parts I listed have been replaced. I understood that if I bought a CSS kit #6 it contained all needed parts to be in compliance. Perhaps I am misunderstanding the sticky?
  8. I did not state my question clearly. I replaced the trigger, hammer and shear, can I count each of these as a part, totaling three parts? If I can count 1) trigger, 2) hammer, 3) shear, and 4) stock that is four of 14.
  9. So if a Saiga 7.62 has 14 foreign parts and I exchange the trigger, hammer and shear along with a stock with USA made parts I am compliance, correct? I did add a US made pistol grip. All parts came from CSS Some information I find here just says trigger but I do not know if they are counting shear and hammer.
  10. I am just out of Greensboro. A new member and just finished converting my Saiga 7.62.
  11. I have easily found many detailed tutorials showing how to do the rear end/trigger conversion but I have not located a good very detailed front end tutorial showing how to remove the front sight, gas block, complete the conversion and then reassemble. Can someone make suggestions to good links that provide detailed examples and instructions? Are most of you doing your own front end work or having it done for you? I did notice the CSS sells a two piece hand guard retainer that enables the conversion with out removing the gas block and sight, anyone using this part?
  12. If I understand correctly there is another importers mark under the striker, is the striker a sticker that simply covers the other mark? Has anyone removed the striker?
  13. Thanks guys, I will be getting a Lula as soon as I find a deal or sale on them.
  14. I got mine from J&G two weeks ago and it takes a round guide, and has dimples, guess the lots are mixed. Tell me about the stricker, what is it?
