Just trying to make sure I get your post, but are you saying that at the end of January there will be mags available to purchase for those not on the waiting list at this time?

The place I bought my .308 carried the entire Saiga line, including the gun in the picture. When I asked them (at the store and the gunshow) about the thumbhole I was given vague answers that basically amounted to "No options for your gun". I find it funny that there is a .308 model still advertised showing this stock, and one of the vague answers was "well.. maybe it can't handle the stresses of a .308". I have a feeling that if I had bought a converted gun the answer would be different. Then again, I've gotten vague answers about the 20rd mags as well.

Hi All, I just wanted to start by saying how great this forum is for someone who just bought a new Saiga rifle and wants to know that there is a enthusiast group out there they can turn to for support / ideas. Here's my situation: I just bought a Saiga-308-1, with the 16 inch barrel. Mine is an unconverted model with the standard rifle stock, and no ak style handgrip.
