If I was you, I would buy a VEPR-12. Lucky son of a gun...
-
Why must things like this happen to me. I haven't even converted my S12 yet and they decide to import VEPRs. *cries*
-
We'll see the prices stop rising. They'll drop if we're lucky. I can't imagine that there would be any demand left if prices hit $800. I haven't even gotten around to converting mine because the $650 price tag set me back so far.
-
It would have to be fitted properly around the Saiga's barrel. The process would just involve making the inside larger.
-
Well the process of fitting a pump onto a Saiga would just involve cutting out the innards, forming the lip that locks the grip in place, and drilling a hole for the screw. The other way around doesn't seem all that easy.
-
$275 for the unfinished version is insane. That's $125 more than the converted set. I'd rather not.
-
Crazy new plan. What if I modified the pump for a regular shotgun to fit on my Saiga? It appears that all that holds the handguard in place is one screw and that groove. Doesn't seem too hard, right?
-
Now begins the hard part. Do I spend $300+ converting my Saiga with a wood stock or just spend $200 and convert it with a more tactical stock? That KVAR 022 RPK foregrip is a cheap shortcut to achieving a "tactical" flavor, but it's a little bit fake really. You should get the Dinzag parts and the lower and upper handguard to give your gun the authentic configuration. S12 SWAT I would consider the RPK grip but it is not available in wood. It's my second choice.

A wood AK handguard has been done and it looks pretty nice in my opinion. I'm basically trying to find out what hardware I need to install an Ironwood stock. From the looks of it, all I need is a lower handguard retainer for the lower handguard. If I wanted to install the upper handguard, I would also need to purchase a new gas tube, but that is entirely optional. Will I be able to attach the lower handguard to my Saiga with these parts?
-
So just for clarification, I just need one of these and then I can attach a lower handguard fitted for the Saiga 12 like this? I really don't feel like replacing my gas tube just for the unused upper handguard, so that shouldn't be a problem. Am I on the right page?
-
I want to put wood furniture on my Saiga and have seen that other people have done it. What do I need to do to install an AK handguard on a Saiga 12? If someone could link me to a wooden handguard specifically for the Saiga, that would also be ok.

What's the advantage of these? How do they compare to Promag?
-
I have been thinking of buying a Krebs bolt-on sight and simply removing the rear sight to get something similar to a traditional shotgun sight. Good idea?
-
I like my sight as far down the gun as possible. All of the front sights I have seen have been over $100 and really big and distracting. Are there any cheap minimalist sights out there that go on the barrel? Something comparable to an elevated bead sight?
