  1. Thats what did the trick for me. Federal 100 packs work perfectly now. Mine can almost cycle even the Winchester garbage now too. I may also polish some of the internals a bit to enhance it even more though.
  2. There are at least 3 local shops with a total of at minimum 20+ saiga 12s. Are you guys seeing them as well? Local ones are selling for 589-800. Local people aren't buying them mostly because the price and next because most people are unfamiliar with them.
  3. The magwell designed for the AGP mags WILL work with the Surefire mag... They only need a 0.020" shim attached to the back of the Surefire mags. Don't worry, you will NOT be AGP pigeon-holed. Take the price cut. I will be waiting for the surefire magwells.
  4. Saiga 12s started popping up locally. A local shop had 3 of them on the shelf. They were in stock for about two weeks. They were going for 589 each.
  5. I have a friend who owes me some time at his machine shop. I trade computer work for machine shop labor. I was going to have them weld the back plat onto my saiga 12 for my ace folding stock. And maybe even weld over and smooth out any leftover holes in the receiver from doing the conversion. What I need to know is the following. I already spent about 15 minutes looking for these answers to no avail. So I thought I would ask here. What type of steel is the receiver? What do you guys use, or what would be best for welding tools/material to weld it with?
  6. I watched that video again and noticed that as well. where did you get that mag release? Could you post a close up of it?
  7. I don't have a hinged dustcover, Its just the plain jane 19"that everyone else here in the states is getting right now. The questions I want answered the most are whether an over the dust cover rail is a good choice, and how much of a difference does it make to mount an eotech further up on the gun rather right over the reciever?
  8. I would like to throw an EOTech on my Saiga so I have been looking into mounting options. I am most interested in getting a rail above the dust cover but low profile enough I don't have to screw with the ergonomics of the platform. I have seen some mounted on quad rails or other forward mounted rails, but it seems that the optic loses some of its value by being mounted so far forward. I would love to hear some feedback from people who have no zoom optics mounted on their Saigas. Especially people who have optics mounted in front of the receiver. Maybe I'm worrying over nothing. So f
  9. I would assume this is the thread he was referring to. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=20234
  10. Have you tried your chaos break yet? How does the recoil reduction feel? Do you know how it compares to a Tromix Shark break?
  11. You guys just missed a "buy it now" on gunbroker for 579 + 19 for shipping. It looks like the prices are going down a bit.
