  1. I'm in VA and I have a Vepr 12 with no problems. I thought the streetsweeper was just an evil shotgun that was illegal everywhere because it was so goshdarndedly evil. I never really researched the folding stock in conjunction with a drum. Good thing drums are not yet fully available, cause I have a folding stock on the way. You're good on the 922, that's what I'm doing + a stock for good measure

  2. The retainer is different. The Vepr uses a traditional type AK lower HG retainer but instead of there being a notch in the barrel and a lever to tighten it down, the bottom of the gas tube is notched and holds the lower retainer in place. It doesn't bolt to the gas block like the Kvar S12 HG retainer does.

But i looks like the Kvar RPK S12 HG could fit. I have that on my S12. You would have to shave off the vents/slots on the top of it to clear the upper HG on the Vepr.

Why would you want to do this?

A US buttsock, PG, magazine and FCG is 8 US parts. I don't think that 9th part (US HG) would really be needed for the count.

I guess i was being reluctant about changing out the Trigger group as Obiwanbonjovi suggested there could be a accidental discharge issue with changing the triggergoup from factory. Something over my pay grade with the Russian safety interacting with the Tapco trigger group. I think he posted on AR-15.com in a post about it. with some detailed pics of what had to be removed from the safety to operate correctly . Not trying to start something .

Then my 922 count would be Muzzle brake , folding stock ,pistol grip , upper hand guard ,lower HG, and CSS gas puck , SGM Magazine , but if i used the Russian 5 round mag I would be covered without doing anything to the triggergroup!

SGM mags count as 3, don't we only need 5 for this thing?

  3. I just did this on mine thursday. That is the excact gas tube I used from K-var, and it works great. although rifles can vary, so you may need to file, but I didn't need to. No venting needed. I did not change out my gas block, or lock, the original shit worked for me. I used a bolt on HG retainer I got from CSS, but I can't link it because they're still closed. It was around $40. It looks fine for me, and I didn't want to mess with pressing one on, like the one you linked. The 2 diff tension springs are for the lower and upper. Old handgaurd comes off with a flat head.

  4. got my 10 rounders todaybad_smile.gif . They lock in just fine, tight as hell. that being said, my factory 5 rounder has a slight amount of up and down play in it. Thank you SGM for a fine product, and thank you CSS for the quick shipping during the holidays. And fuck you Obama.

  5. I thought that count was old info they never updated because of the disclaimer below that they did not have any in stock. I don't think MAA closed at all, so I wouldn't expect anything to be shipped anytime soon. Fed fucks are off for Christmas, so I got at least till Jan 3rd before I risk my Vepr becoming a stick.

  6. The news even convinced my wife that he was using a FA rifle. They also said that the previous AWB actually curbed gun violence. Fucking lying pieces of shit.

@ Tony... I guess I technically am an atheist as well, but that doesn't mean I'm running off to the liberal side. I never understand why people affiliate themselves with a party that is so completely fucked up. No offense intended, but do you actually believe the lies they spew?

  7. I like the molot grip, in fact I'm ordering a US made version for my 7.62 for parts count. Someone might buy it, but I typically hate dealing with selling crap especially if it won't bring in enough to make a trip to the post office worth it.
