Has anyone had any luck finding any aftermarket stock sets for their Saiga M's? I've installed a midwest industries quad rail for optics and I think it would look a hell of a lot better with polymer furniture or a regular stock and pistol grip. The only few options I can find is modifying a choate machine and tool mak 90 stock to fit or having a custom wooden stock made at iron wood designs. Neither of these sound appealing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Bigger, thicker, harder - Saiga M Series
fbodyreefer replied to mostholycerebus's topic in Saiga 7.62 X 39
I used 200 grit on the hand guard and sanded the finish down and #0000 steel wool on the stock and then used mineral spirits to clean it all up. I think if I had to do it again I would have gone right over the original finish, but unfortunately I was firing it on a rainy day and the water screwed up my original finish so I was forced to do some sanding. -

Mostholycerebus, I gave mine the minwax treatment with six coats of their tung oil and it came out very nice. Although stock and the handguard came out a bit different in color -
I guess it is made by Tapco. Damn I guess it will have to be converted. Thanks for the help

Will an RSA G2 trigger fit an unconverted 7.62 saiga?

I think I understand now, but if the stock is made in russia would it go against my parts count?

How would I go about making it 922r compliant ?

I just got an email back from stanley's pro shop. He said they should be arriving monday or tuesday. I am going to try to order mine ASAP and have it overnighted so I should find out soon. He believes they are going to run about $75.

I have taken it apart and can't get it back together. How do I get the bolt assembly back in and the firing pin in the right place. Also I have some gun scrubber and some 7.62 solvent. I will add a picture incase I have misnamed any parts.
