  1. Unending thanks to CSSpecs!!! Went out of his way to test a product for all to see and learn from. An absolute leader. I will be buying a Saiga 308, do the conversion and buy nothing but CSSpecs magazines for it. His determination and hard work is something you just don't see in the business world anymore. I salute you, sir. From Kuwait on behalf of everyone.
  2. Mega thanks to csspecs to going to bat for the Saiga nuts. I myself have ordered the NcStar loader, 1 Saiga 8 rd factory mag, 1 Surefire 20 rd mag and a CSSpecs 20 rd mag. I will be using 10 round M-14(M1A1) stripper clips with the loader on all 3. And I will indeed let all know the results. It's actually my roomdaog who's doing all this for me. I'm ordering all this stuff and he's doing all the experimenting. I'm in Kuwait and planning to buy more toys when I return home to the good ole USA. Thanks to all again for looking, reading and suggesting on my strange quest for knowledge of bullets a
  3. Thanks BVamp. I have a pound of 308 stripper clips that I use to store for my Remington 700 in 308. I found a loader made by NCStar that works for ; M-14, AR-10, G-3, HK-91, M1-A1, and FN-FAL all of which are straight box mags and this is a straight loader. I'm wondering if it will work on the curved, banana shaped factory mags, Surefire mags and CSS mags? I would just hate to buy the loader and 3 different magazines just to see if it works. Because if it does, great! I can buy a Saiga 308 and convert it. If it doesnt work, then I have to go through the pain in the butt of returning stuff. But
  4. Hey folks. I have 2 AK's and a Saiga 12. The more that I'm looking at these Saiga 308's, the more I'm wanting one. But I'm a Bullet Head and have to have as many reloads as possible. I'm wondering if anyone makes a stripper clip loader that works with the 308 stripper clips. I live for stripper clips and love the whole concept. I really do not prefer the Lula loader because it is too slow at 1 round at a time. Stripper clips allow me to re-charge an AR-15 mag or an AK-47 mag in less tha 10 seconds with a stripper clip loader. I want the ability to do the same with 308. Can any of you wonderful
  5. Hey guys. Anyone know where I can find MD Arms 20 round drums at the lowest price? Thanks all.
  6. Okay,me again guys.I'm not looking to import, sell, shorten barrels, convert to full auto or attatch flamethrowers. I'm just curious as to what I need to do standard buttstock, pistol grip, trigger group, forend change, gas system installation,Duracoating and muzzle break jobs. Nothing class III. Just taking a customer's stock Saiga 12 and converting it how he or she sees fit and having them pay me for it. Is that what I need? The 01 papaerwork? Will this allow me to customize more than Saigas?Like 1911,AR-15,and other smithy work? What do the converters at Atlantic Arms and Red Stick have? Being a c
  7. I am a U.S. Navy Gunners Mate with 12 years under my belt and still going strong.I di my own Saiga 12 conversion and two others for very close friends. Question is. 8. Promag Saiga 12 mags any good? Or are they some good, some bad, depending on which run you buy, like the rest of Promag's mags? I have 1 AGP 10 rounder and it works fine.I'm just looking for the Holy Grail. Reliable, sturdy magazines at the best price.Thanx guys.
  9. Hey crew. And a very, very special hello to all those out there in Saiga Land theorizing on the Swine Flu turning into the zombie outbreak.Anyway. Question: I posted last weak about where to buy.I found that centerfiresystems and peachstateguns both have Saiga 12's for $549.Undoubtedly the best prices out there.I just wanna know which store is best. When I blow that kind of coin on stuff,I want the whole deal. The best price, best service, best shipping and best over all experience.DYING to buy, convert, acessorize,Duracoat and splatter zombie brains everywhere! Thanx as always guys.
  10. It's over,it's over!!!! I FINALLY have the cash to get a Saiga 12!! All the scrimping and saving and selling and trading,it's my time now!! Question: Where oh where is the best place to buy with the best service and price??? Please help me guys.
  11. Hey forum experts.I'm an experienced gunsmith(not licensed) but I have done my fair share of smithing, customizing, outfitting, tooling and the like. I finally got the money to get the basic Saiga 12. Question: Is there anyone who can tell me,sell me or supply me with information on how to convert this myself.Everything from pistol grip, stocks, fore grips and flash hiders.I have done this on AK's and other rifles.I am most interested in the pistol grip conversion. Thanks to all for any and all information on this.
  12. Never owned one but my uncle in OK does.First fired it in 1994 or so.Uncle lines up 5 silouette targets side by side and after test firing with the stick mag,he lets me cut loose on the 5 targets with the 25 rd drum.Turned all 5 targets into absolute dog meat!!--Most destructive full auto, non military weapon I've ever fired. That's what turned me on to the Saiga-12.Until I can afford the Ameetec-12,the Saiga-12 is one of the FEW things that come close to that experience.--P.S.-Damn you dinzag for posting pics and links giving me a whole new toy to obsess over.Ihope you sleep well, cuz I won't un

  14. OK,I'm fuzzy on this.If this ban gets approved, when does it take effect actually?
