  1. I didn't know federal still made any from a very fuzzy memory, S&W when they made ammo came out with the nyclad, and sold the patent to federal the idea behind it was the manufacturing process of the bullet being nylon coated, allowed the bullets to be made of dead soft lead, instead of harder lead alloys and would expand better at lower velocities. for a while they sold a load specificity for the 2" snub guns I still have some, along with a few boxes of black talons
  2. I had a zylon vest, and it was the material of the future, until an Officer died wearing one. fresh zylon tested well for protection, but after the Officer died, it was found to lose most of it properties once it was exposed to heat and moisture. like with in a year of use. and I'm talking body heat and sweat. about the only thing your vest is good for is as part of a Halloween costume.
  3. got an e-mail this morning from Nathan, stating my order being shipped out today time to take the hacksaw to the saiga
  4. has anybody gotten their orders, or at least conformation that the orders have shipped? I've been waiting since early November for mine, with the only part back ordered was the ace internal block , sent MAA a e-mail to swap it out with the internal block they have in stock now, and so far nothing, zip, nada. he hasn't replied to my last 3 e-mails or answer the phone.
  5. Great the scope is 4.90 long, and I would like it mounted towards the back of the rail. I don't have the cash right now, christmas took a huge chuck of my mad money, but I'll be contacting you next month . Thanks Ray
  6. Cobra I've had your mount in mind when I posted this, when I get some extra dough, I'll be contacting you. also would it be possible to mill the back half of the rail flat and drilled and tapped for a c-more slide ride? Thanks
  7. Hi guys 1st post here, but have been lurking for a few months now and have learned a ton of info. just got my new saiga and have been trying to figure out the best way to mount a dot to it. I've got a spare c-more in the safe and have been looking at various mounts. the side mounts don't thrill me, and the rails that mount to the gas tube seen like the way to go, but I'm worrying about the rail getting hot enough to cook the electronic on the site. has anyone had that problem? thanks
