That is the factory Magpul buttpad, think they come on all commercial ones now. Love the Magpul stock but not on my S12, still felt the recoil but just my perception results may vary. Moved it to my AR & put an Ace ARFX with 1" buttpad on the Saiga. 100rnds thru it last Saturday & no sore shoulder. The stock will completely close on the tube on my setup.

I bought the CTR Stock/tube combo from AIM Surplus. The tube is a 6 pos from Tapco & is commercial size. There is a pic of it my green machine thread.

Hey Cobra, Ok, checked it out. No binding that I can see at all. Only thing stopping movent is the front trigger stop & rear legs. Any other ideas what it may be?

Took my S12 Converstion out today for the first time & trigger kept sticking on disconnector about every other round. Could reset trigger by pushing it forward slightly. It's a G2 & everything moves freely plus cant duplicate this hand cycling. Everything else ran great, no ftf's or fte's out of 100rnds. Even fed the walmart value stuff well. Any suggestions?

That is one sick looking setup hunter! Can u tell a difference in recoil with the shark brake? That may be my next purchase.

Well here is my first try at a conversion, the green machine! Wasn't too hard at all. Not sure I'm staying with this stock tho, was spare parts I had laying around. Also waiting on handguard bracket from Tony.

Good luck Ryan, nothing to it! I just completed my conversion yesterday. Had to get a couple tips from the Cobra dude(thanks!) but other than that smooth sailing. Just file slowly on your pistol grip hole, keep a tight fit. Are you using screws or rivets to attach triggerguard? Also using the factory tg?

Thanks for the assist Cobra & greetings to a fellow NC'er. Would it be ok to completely leave it off then? Think my only option would be to attach it by screwing it back in original position which I dont want to do. Dont have your skills!

Well I started my conversion following a guide that apparently had the safety stop on the magwell so ended up completely removing mine. Is it necessary to have this stop or not? Seems to be a detent that catches when you push lever down to the fire position. (I am waiting on parts to assemble so haven't went too far to correct if needed) Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
