  1. I see what your saying devildog, but i dont have that problem. my screws are low profile and dont contact anything but the reciever. If you feel the middle of the disconnector or hammer you can feel/see the line the casting makes on the parts. The casting mark on my disconnector was slightly positive, which would hold the hammer down below the trigger hook. 2 seconds of MODERATE dremel work fixed it.
  2. I used both springs from my stock saiga. I sat here playing with it while i was waiting for replies and i couldnt wait to grab my dremel...so i did....and i fixed it. It turns out the disconnector was just a tad large and would still hold the hammer down after the trigger was released. The disconnector holds the hammer down when the trigger is engaged. Then when the trigger is disengaged the disconnector releases the hammer and it is caught by the hook on the trigger. My disconnector never transferred the hammer to the hook on the trigger, it would just hang on. After some filing to the d
  3. Thanks for the reply. Sorry, i edited my post to say hammer is being held in the down position, not the trigger. Its a tapco g2 single hook. For some reason my hammer gets caught underneath the disconnector. And yes I used the original spring from my stock saiga. This was the best pic that I could get, you can see that the hammer is being caught by the disconnector, and when the trigger is pulled it just slides the disconnector further over the hammer securing in place. Trigger pulls, hammer does not release. This is best as I can describe what is going on. Thanks for all help and comm
  4. Heya! First time poster long time reader. I just gone done with my conversion. Took her out to the range and she fired incredibly. Only one problem, on about half the time I pull the trigger the hammer does not release. When I got home from the range I found out that the disconnector was holding the hammer in the down position and would not release unless I bumped the trigged forward with my finger to take it from underneath the disconnector. Only then could I fire. My first idea is to file the disconnector/trigger. Also, what purpose does the disconnector serve in the rifle? Thanks
