  1. That site says the mags are $70....what a rip off. I would rather save up and get a drum.
  2. You don't need a dealer transfer at Gun Shows right? No FFL needed cause it's considered a private deal right?
  3. hey ace, I live sorta near Philly (about an hour away). I was thinking of going to the Valley Forge Gun Show also, I heard it is huge!
  4. OK cool thanks for the information about doing the modification if the gun doesn't come with one. What exactly does BHO and LRBHO stand for anyway (BH part is Bolt Hold, but what is the rest?).
  5. Ahh so that's what it is. Thanks for the clarification. That does seem like something that would be useful for cleaning.
  6. Hi everyone, I'm looking to get a Saiga 7.62 20inch. My intended uses are for deer hunting (I'd get a scope) and just plinking. I'm seeing a few different websites saying the ones they carry have either the bolt stop, or do not have it. Is there any real reason to get the bolt stop version? I don't think it's as true to the original AK, and I can't see the advantage of being alerted *sooner* that the gun is empty. Thanks.
  7. OK I understand now Navy87Guy. So using a high cap magazine forces you to become 922R compliant? Because otherwise the Saiga comes with 11 import parts. I think I get it now.
  8. What kind of modifications need to be done to legally (not mechanically) use the Saiga with high cap mags? Does it have to do with parts count? You cannot have more than 10 foreign made parts in the gun. To get a Saiga legal to use with a pistol grip and hi-cap mags the usual conversion involves replacing the fire control group, forearm, stock and pistol grip with US-made items. It has to do with the 922R rules from the BATF. lots of info available on this site from people a lot more knowledgable than myself. What if you kept the factory (sport style) stock on it? Could you use hi
  9. So what was the verdict on this buttstock? Thanks.
