  1. I am using the recoil pad that you have shown in the photo of your first post. Works for me for the recoil but primarily because it lengthens the stock and makes the gun fit me better which is an aid to accuracy right there. Mine came with my gun when I bought from Rusmilitary but I ended up using the screws out of the buttplate and screwing it on directly to the stock/buttplate.
  2. I use the GP recoil pad intended for the AK, as much to make the gun fit me better by increasing the length of pull.
  3. The Saiga I use has a factory made rail mounted hinged receiver cover which is probably closest to the bottom of your list of options from Atlantic Firearms. My Eotech has to be mounted as far to the rear of the rail as possible otherwise it causes failures to eject. The spent cases don't impinge on the Eotech itself but its placement seems to upset the recoil mechanism enough to cause the case to hang up as it clears the receiver's ejection port. I am going to play around it some more this weekend hopefully as the last time the Eotech stop functioning which has never done when mounted
  4. Thought I would put up another take on an extended mag release. Had difficulty finding one, particularly here in the UK. Needed an ambidextrous one for practical shotgun competitions, so did a mock up in cardboard and took it to a friend with way more technical skills and this is what we came up. To be honest there is not many ways to do it so it probably is not much different from others. Used velcro to add increased tactile grip for the finger tip as in wet conditions, otherwise it could slip on the smooth wet metal. The only issue I would add, is if you use the undergun method of ra
  5. My Saiga has a number of the features you mention straight out of the box. Picatinny rail, magwell, uses associated mags which just slot in straight and drop out when mag release is used, manual bolt hold open, flash suppressor, AK foresight sight, IZMASH pistol grip I got it from Oleg at www.rusmilitary.com but they are 24" barrels to comply with UK law. They are made by Legion which is some kind of associate company or otherwise of IZMASH Here is a pic
