I've been doing some research but finding that I really want to hear from people with experience and their recommendations. I don't want to go to ARFCOM anymore, so I am asking here. I want to deck out my M&P 15 with a laser sight, bottom mounted on a picatinny rail. I am currently leaning toward red, because its harder to follow the beam to its source. What I want to ask, is do you recommend red or green and why, and what laser sights do you think are a good value. I'd like to stay below $200, but I guess in the end, any price is Okay if its really just that reliable and

From the album: Sights, Green Laser, scope
It is very hard to get the camera in line with the sights and in focus. -

This shows how a normal hold for me is depressing the momentary switch on my laser -
Brand new in package and never opened. Newest generation of laser and light combo. Has laser only or laser and light on at same time or light only and the light will do constant on or strobe for a very disorienting effect. The green laser is visible in daylight for 200 yards and MUCH further at night. It of course includes all mounting for pistols or rifles. My price is a significant savings. I received two and only need one. Check out the site below for details. This is the official Viridian site: http://www.viridiang...xl5-laser-sight Sell for $310 shipped in lower 48 states

From the album: Thank you Funked Out
Anyone who says this isn't practical hasn't tried it. Activated by holding the forearm comfortably in a normal grip, no remote wires to get tangled or fail. (as happened to the switch that came with this cheaper laser) So far the laser itself has survived several hundred shots of hi brass, and who knows how much birdshot. The bracket is a good size and shape, but the laser has shifted under recoil on the shotgun. I will come up with a fix eventualy, probably just a set screw with a drilled detente for the screw to sit in.
