I got to looking at the barrel on my IZ 132 and it looks like there are threads on the barrel underneath the shrouded portion of the front site. I will try to get a good pic of it later, I just don't want to go dig it out of the safe right now. My question about that is what would be the best way to expose the possible threads without taking the entire front site off or doing any damage to possible said threads? Take it slow with a Dremel and cutting wheel? A pipe cutter? I'd like to keep the site where it is if at all possible and just drill out the hole for a detent since I have those p -
Starting this post because I am stuck at a crossroad. I have had a certain sling upstairs tucked away in storage for quite some time now and I cannot seem to find any information ANYWHERE regarding it. It has on it "KALASHNIKOV USA" on the front and "MADE IN RUSSIA" stamped on the back. There is also some stamping on the leather. I find it to be a pretty cool piece. I would love it someone could educate me a little bit more on it. I also searched forums and was not able to find anything, but sorry in advance if there is already a topic. Ok so I am still mainly factory setup on my S-12 only thing I've added is a UTG USA quad rail with a holo sight. I'd love to convert it but thats a ways off. Dam always needing $ for ammo. So here's the question. I am looking for a sling configuration and was looking maybe @ single point or maybe a 3 point system for it. Currently looking @ a couple of rail sling mounts on amazon for the front mount since mine originally came with the rpk handguard so the front mount I can't use. Any one have an idea on what I could do or what they have used?
