Rusty 0 Posted May 3, 2006 Report Share Posted May 3, 2006 .308 is the current .mil issue ammo. You also see a lot more South African battle packs than you do non-corrosive M2 Ball (30-06). I'm a slave to the '06, but good .308 milsurp is more available these days. The real question is: Semi-auto or Bolt action? If bolt, it doesn't matter since you don't want to use .mil surplus in either caliber. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
