damntheman 0
I'm going to be buying a Saiga 12 from CDNN within the next few weeks, and I figured I'd just order a quick detachable scope mount while I was at it. They have 2 types of mounts at CDNN. One has built in 1" rings and the other has a weaver base with free rings and both are the same price. I'm leaning more towords the one with the weaver base in case I want to use a red dot scope instead of the standard 1" scopes. Anyone have any experience with either one of these mounts? Thanks. JesusCow 1
I'd say go for the weaver rail with detachable rings. That way it'll be good for all kinds of optics. As well as other Saigas/AKs! No experience had by me.
J A 0
The correct mount for all Saiga models imported to the USA is the mount model COK-AK.C6.17-01. Which is the EAA one CDNN has with the built in rings. But the others they have will work just fine and are more versital as you can mount anything on the weaver rail instead of just a 1" scope like the EAA mount.
twinhairdryers 2
Just tried the CDNN side mount AK mount that is the Bulgarus?. First fit was very tight, could be attributed to a newer Saiga and newer mount, but the finish on both made for a hard shove just to get the mount on and locked. Shot 100rounds including mags through it in a couple weeks. Can't say it won't loosen up like others claim after a few hundred though. For 40 bucks I though it was a good buy (so far). damntheman 0
Thanks for all the replies. I think I will get the mount with the weaver rail so I can mount a red dot scope on my future saiga 12. I'm thinking about ordering it within the next few weeks, so I'm pretty excited. --DamnTheMan
