doug01 3
Hey all, Is there any secret to checking to see if a brake is actually on center. It's a type 74 pin on. I used my cleaning rod but mt brush is slightly bent. I stared down the barrel from both ends, seems ok, just paranoid I guess. Thanks, Doug
lsgs 0
yes goto hardware store and buy a full length, all the way to bolt face dowl rod or metal rod of the propper diamater, as close to 308 as possible and use it as a guide. thats what we did before welding a in on onto mine. found that welding it was beter cause of the blast. then painted whole gun with aluma hyde 2 in a flecktarn pattern. shoots great,, warning though,,, withthe redirected muzzle blast it will clear the firing line at your range of fellow shooters. but not flys. hope this helps. doug01 3
Thanks for the reply. It's a great Idea. I used a pencil.....a round one not the octagon shaped. Fit good and helped. I feel a lot better about it now. I don't quite get what you mean with the flies though. Doug
