john762 0
I see 2000 rd. cases of Austrian blanks selling for $70-$90. Has anyone tried cutting the crimped-ends off and using them as primered brass for reloads? I believe they were boxer primed brass.

Knowing nothing about them, other than the fact that they were blanks, I'd be afraid of them. I wouldn't expect the brass to be as thick, as a blank wouldn't need to be able to handle much pressure. ironhead7544 35
I have heard of it being done but dont remember the results. It would probably be OK for light loads. I will check into it for you. Besides trimming, you might have to ream out the neck to the right size. Thats a lot of work. I do know that you cant use the blank powder for projectiles, its too powerful.
ironhead7544 35
I checked with some other reloaders and was advised: Unsafe. Dont do it.
