brinksman 0
whats up everyone Can some somebody tell me what the trick is to remove the rear sight on a s-12. I have the Krebs custom ghost ring that I want to put on, but I think if I keep banging on the dovetail style sight with my punch set I might break something. So far I have sprayed rem oil on the sight then pounded the shit out of it, that didn't help, maybe let it sit overnight? Does it slide left to right or right to left? hoop762 0
i had the same trouble when i went with the krebs sight. all i can tell you is make sure you have the gas tube and rec braced properly, and just slam the SH!T out of it. It took me lots of smacks with a 4 lb mini sledge to get mine out. be presistant and just beat the hell out of it. expect a few dings. i got a few on the gas tube and what not. iw as gonna fix em, but decided to leave em cause they give the gun "character"
brinksman 0
Well then, LET THE BEATINGS CONTINUE. Thanks Hoop.
brinksman 0
Ok just wanted to post for future newbies that after hitting the shit out of it it finally came out. I was hitting it from left to right (I don't know if it really makes a difference though).
Red Jacket 329
little late now , but , when they're really stuck , just do a cut through the center with a dremal cutoff wheel . You wont reuse it , but you don't risk smacking the gun either .
