jStat 0
Been surfing deep into the forum's depths to find out information regarding this tantalizing tidbit. Has anyone gotten anymore updated information on the validity of these stock guns feeding the AK magazine reliably? I'm just curious as it is a fascinating topic. kresk 10,063
I'm under the impression that you still need the feed ramp and need to trim the mag catch lever slightly, even on a dimpled receiver. This was true on the one I have anyway.

You still need either a ramp or a modified magazine for reliable operation. If not you'll get feeding jams or worse, the bullet may get pushed back into the case from hitting the edge of the chamber and still end up feeding. This could lead to a dangerous increase in case pressure. It's not worth the risk to the gun or to yourself.
