ChrisP 0
I've taken my S .223 to the range 3 times since I bought it, the gun functions perfectley but it hits the top of the paper at 50 yards when I aim dead center. To hit the center of the target I have to aim at the bottom of the target, any ideas why? My rear sight is set on the lowest setting and it doesn't matter what kind of ammo that I use. You need to adjust the front sight post.Shooting high, raise the front post.Do you have a Front sight adjustment tool?
wlchase 0
I've found for the shorter distances I can use the middle of the front sight, the little "bump" where it becomes smaller, and that gets me pretty well set. Bill
ChrisP 0
I never knew that it was adjustable, I guess a front sight tool for an AR won't work will it?

No you will need one for the AK platforms. You can order them from Tapco or get a real AK cleaning kit from K-var.The kits have the sight tools in the tube. Most of the Saiga now come with cleaning kits, rods and oil bottles. devildog1122 0
You need to zeroed your rifle in at 25 meters with 3" target. If you can get a good group within this target, your rifle pretty dead on. Here is an article that might help you http://ak-47.net/ak47/sightingin.html
MrTuffPaws 2
This is probably normal depending on what your gun is sighted to. Bullets arc. For my 7.62x39 I keep it sighted in dead on at 25 yards. This puts me at about 4-6 inches high at 100yards. As for adjustment, the little cleaning kit that comes with the cleaning kit can be used to adjust the front sight. You slip one of the parts over the past, and then slip that into the main tube that holds the kit. Clock-wise to lower, counter clock-wise raise. You can also use a SKS sight tool. devildog1122 0
Bullet trajectory is very important if you are into long range target shooting. I got this link from remington web site, it has complete info about rem .223 and it also has for other caliber. rem .223 http://www.remington.com/products/ammuniti...rfire&cal=6 other caliber http://www.remington.com/products/ammunition/ballistics/
railroader 0
Look in your cleaning kit. They come with a front sight tool. The tool is flat with one end being a screw driver, the other end has has a "U" shaped notch that will fit over the front sight. You will need to raise your front sight if you are shooting high.
