Aloxite 1 Posted May 24, 2007 Report Share Posted May 24, 2007 (edited) On my 308, it has a extra part (well a part thats not on my other ak's) on the back end of the recoil spring assembly. I think it is there to keep the cover on tight. I'm not sure though. Is that the clampy thing? I'd just leave that all alone myself, Mr. K. doesn't put buffers on his rifles. G O B 3,516 Posted May 25, 2007 Report Share Posted May 25, 2007 The metal thing that looks like a buffer stays. It is part of the recoil system. You can use BlackJack buffers with it there. It is a tight fit but works good. Just make shure the curved part on the top of the buffer is turned to the rear. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
