Put in bullet guide, wont eject

I used thi method http://www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/step_8.htm and the bolt goes in and out just find, but deosnt catch thi lip right to eject, i am not seeing a direct cause of failure, any ideas?

First, remove the guide and see if it does it with the factory mag. That will rule out any ejector problems.

 

Then take the guide screw out and cycle it, bolt may not be locking in completely...I've ran into it before. By doing this the bolt will force the guide over a little. Basically you dont want the guide to be to the right of the raised chamber face.

 

Also if it's a '06, some of those have thicker lugs on them and the pipe guide may be too thick.

I had to change the designs of my guides recently to compensate.

Hey Dinzag, you hit the nail on the head, guide was too thick, i shaved it down, then the mags right lip was ejecting the shell early so it just fell inside, shaved it some and everything works like a champ..

 

Also, a heads up, do not cycle a mag while standing by dishes, i broke a bowl:(
