gmorgan 2
Can anybody please give me information as to the overall ammunition performance reduction with regards to a S-12 109 18" barrel chop ? Need approx. muzzle velocities and muzzle energy for a standard 1oz rifle slug and 1oz 00 Buck load. Federal Vital Shock are the rounds I am using in slug and 00 Buck but a general idea of manufacturer non specific round performance is what I'm looking for or possably were to find this information 1oz Slug Barrel Length 18" 12" 10" 8" Muzzle Velocity (fps): Muzzle Energy (ft.lb.): 1oz 00 Buck Barrel Length 18" 12" 10" 8" Muzzle Velocity (fps): Muzzle Energy (ft.lb.): Thanks
dangerman 0
I think that if you use the SEARCH function (Upper right of the forum panel) you can find exactly this info, plus data on all kinds of shot. There have been a few busy bees with chronometers in the past.
kmoore 3
Someone posted this info, I believe with birdshot, a while back. It's pretty surprising how much velocity DOESN'T fall off. Let me see if I can find it ... eta ... OK, here's what was posted. Had birdshot and buckshot, but only went down to 12 inches. bbl length vs velocity Edited December 16, 2007 by kmoore
