gunboy69 50
I'm having trouble finding numbers on this round, anybody got any? I think the surplus stuff is running about 1400 fps,but couldn't find anything on energy. I just got my 03 license, and ordered a Tokarev,CZ-82,and two more M-44s from J&G. Thanks

turbo1889 1
Well according to the tech. specs. on midwayusa.com the Winchester "white box" factory loads in this caliber have a rated velocity and energy of 1,647-fps & 514-ft.lbs. of energy respectively. The Win. factory loads are considered to be slightly on the mild side as far as this caliber. Some of the surplus stuff is the same and some of it has quite a bit hotter especially the belted stuff that you have to de-link (that stuff's real hard to find any more though). Anyway I know for sure that with handloads you can get a 90gr. XTP hollow point out the barrel of a CZ-52 at just barely 1,800-fps with a grand total of 648-ft.lbs. of energy. I imagine you'd get them up above 2,000-fps with a longer carbine barrel.

THE_HUNTER 2
Well, the 7.62X25 with full metal jacket military steel ammo will punch holes in a heavy steel door that will just dent with Fiochi .357 FMJ rounds. Also,it will shoot through a level 2 vest too. It's a little rifle round and quite wicked. It would be sweet in a little carbine.
THE_HUNTER 2
I would love to see it in a small varmint package,or a little takedown rifle.Imagine an AR7 that has actually works well beefed up to 7.62X25!Or, a Taurus pump gun,or a Springfield Armory M6!We can dream big!
