tober 0 Posted March 15, 2008 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 i'm planning to buy the saiga with the skeleton stock. want to change the front hand grip to the Galil Style Handguard and just change the mag to either 10 or 15 rounds. would i be in violation? i also live in the wonderful state of new jersey. RangerM9 1 Posted March 16, 2008 Report Share Posted March 16, 2008 i'm planning to buy the saiga with the skeleton stock. want to change the front hand grip to the Galil Style Handguard and just change the mag to either 10 or 15 rounds. would i be in violation? i also live in the wonderful state of new jersey. ok...first off the gun should come with a 10 round mag.....so if you stick with that, nothing changes.....if it comes wiht the skeleton stock....i've never been too sure on that....i thought the ATF/922r considered those to be PG and stock, so two parts.....if you just replace your handgaurd to the Galil.....i think you are still at 11 on the parts count due to the skeleton stock.....that said...if you stick with the 10 round mags you are fine.....if you go over that....i think you will violate 922r.....unless you replace 1 more part. may want to look at saigastock.com they have a US made tapco stock/pgrip aftermarket stock, that plus your handguard, and you are good to go with US made mags (all thre parts US made that is) of all sizes. others may have a different opinion, but i like to err on the side of caution.
