soberups 1
Here is a side-by side photo of the Master Molder mag on the right, compared to the factory Saiga 10-rounder: Notice that the Master Molder mag has material in the front that acts as a bullet guide, similar to the factory mag. soberups 1
The tang on the back of the Master Molder mag is about 2 mm thicker than a factory mag. So I very slowly shaved it down with a Dremel...but a nail file, emery board or Xacto knife would work also;
soberups 1
Here is the MM mag with the tang trimmed down--you can see that very little material has to be removed to make it fit like the factory mag;
soberups 1
The photo is a bit blurry, but you can see that the MM mag has enough material in front to guide the bullet into the barrel just like the factory mag;
soberups 1
Here you can see the modified MM mag locked securely into the gun with no wobble at all. The stock is the Tapco Modified from saigastock.com that bolts right on with no mods to the FCG. This is a no-gunsmithing setup that is 922r compliant and cheaper than a WASR and much, much nicer! oldandslow 3
Nice job. I also have MM 47 round mags. I was having last round malfunctions. I had to remove material from the front (about .050) of the magazine. I measured a factory 10 rounder to duplicate the dimension.
