Side-Mount front sling attachment point?

I was wondering how many of you have a front side-mount for your sling. What are my options if I want to keep the factory Saiga handguard?

 

I saw this on kvar's site Gas Tube mount. Will this work on the saiga x39? Any danger of attaching your sling at this point?

you'd have to cut a slot in the hand guard, however.... that is a really good idea.

wtf do you have that attached to? or do you have to drill a hole for the mount?

I just drilled a hole and threaded it in. It has a coarse threaded wood screw 3/8 long. Take off your hand guard and you'll see theres some meat there to hold it. Really easy to do.

I don't know. It gets pretty thin the farther forward you go. Maybe use your original with a proper sized machine screw and nut.
