caboakita 0
After removing the handguard I noticed there is a cylindrical clamp which bolts the gas tube to the barrel. It has what appears to be 4 pins holding it on. Two of them are flush with the clamp. The other two stick out approx .125". Are these just pins, and if so can they be flushed down without affecting anything downstream with the rifle? Thanks guys! Brad

Brad I believe those can be shaved down flush as they are extended pins that assist holding the stock handguard on the rifle. Any other thoughts?
jgillaspy 24
Only shave them off if you DON'T plan on reusing the factory handguard. Edited July 3, 2008 by Ax-Man
