I have been looking at one of the AK bullpups and finally broke down and picked one up. 6x6pinz 4 Posted August 3, 2008 Author Report Share Posted August 3, 2008 Well we put just over 500 rounds through it. Still very tight by cmoparison to my other AK's. I had two failure to completely eject spent cartridges in the first magazine. We had no other issues with it after that. The trigger is still a bit stiff but manageable and I expect it to loosen up some over time. One noteable thing is the difficulty using it with a drum magazine. The mags take a little practice to get in and out, I was using 40 rounders. After a little adjustment to the sights we were able to put up some nice groups. Overall a fun gun to shoot, you even get the AR "spring" sound from it when firing. I picked this one up at JGsales in Prescott for 499. The first one I looked at there felt as though some of the furniture was not secured properly. Everthing on this one is nice and tight. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Kwicko 8 Posted August 7, 2008 Report Share Posted August 7, 2008 Dang - kinda wish I'd grabbed the one I had my grubby little mitts on at the last funshow I went to. $400 out the door, but I hesitated. It felt solid as well. I really do want to pick one of these up. I like the out-of-the-ordinary factor it brings, and I love the idea of not sacrificing accuracy to get an easier-to-handle package. Guess I'll have to put one on my shopping list. Funny thing - that list doesn't get shorter as I buy guns off it - it gets LONGER! Every one I get makes me want others even more.
