campiscampy@yahoo.com 0
is there anything that I could get at say home depot that will work in the place of a regular pg nut with a regular ak pistol grip? (i already cut the hole) (and will hold up to recoil) or if anyone has spare parts lying around freebies for freebies you know?
cellsworth 21
I don't think anything else would work well. The AK PG nuts have the proper angle built in, as well as the right fit and threads.
Gunfixr 76
The standard PG nut has a metric thread, and I believe Tapcos does as well. You could buy a piece of steel, drill and tap it, cut the sides to have it sit at an angle and then use it. If you also provide the screw, you can use english threads. For the amount of work, it's easier to just buy one. A couple places sells them for like $6, and they come with a screw. If all you needed was the long standard pg screw, I got several of those, as I have to buy the set to get the nut.
campiscampy@yahoo.com 0
Do you think I could get one at a gunshow?
Gunfixr 76
Well, I don't know the gunshows in your area, but if they have tables carrying AK parts and accessories, then the chances are good.
