skifast 2
I have a new converted 7.62 on its way. It does not have a brake or suppressor. My current 7.62 has an AK74 type brake. I have done a search and read through the threads, but still am undecided about what to put on the new gun. I am leaning toward a flash suppressor. My thinking is that the 7.62 does not really kick that much and thus a compensator is not that useful. Do you agree? Thanks

skifast 2
Just found this Suppressor/Brake: Phantom 5C2 Comp/Flash Suppressor Suppressor Is it a good choice?
moxie1c 3
Just found this Suppressor/Brake: Phantom 5C2 Comp/Flash Suppressor Suppressor Is it a good choice? The only problem that I can see about that exact piece is that it is apparantly designed for a 5.56 AR and is not bored for a 7.62, nor will it be threaded in the standard M14 X 1 LH which will mean your front end would be "out of spec" in regards to muzzle options down the line. The YHM-28-AK1 and the YHM-28-AK2 will use the standard thread pattern. check out these two videos for a bit of a comparison. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc1hUl7oZ4s
