Cover Plate Replacement

Recommended Posts

Wondering if anyone else has run into the same issue?

The first time I went to change covers I found that I couldn't get the cover clip to seat.

Got to the point were I was going to force it but managed to step back and really look at what was going on.

Finally noticed that when I fully seated the back plate and secured it with the cover screws, the slot on the axis pin sets too high and the clip won't engage.

The method that worked for me was: place cover lightly in place, put cover clip in position and press until slot is aligned and seat it, then last - lt install screws.

This was one of the problems with the beta drums that still hasn't been addressed. It turned into a blessing in disguise for one of the other issues.

For at least now though...yes...clip first, screws last.
