No need to get pissy with me I was just posting becuause I know some of the mags even factory one are getting scarce. Someone may be willing to pay these prices soon just to get an extra factory mag for their gun.

That would of never happened in the old Russian under communism. The mags would stay at $20, just like you think they should. Of course, you wouldn't be allowed to own any. We have the law of supply and demand at work here in the USA. The mags get scarce, the price goes up. You don't have to buy them. If the company paid a higher price for them and more get imported, the price drops and the company loses money. If they bought lots of stuff like that, they go out of business. Also, at $40 a mag, some other mag maker will start to produce them before long increasing the supply. All of that is called capitalism. I'd choose capitalism over communism any day. How about you?

Rook,

Why the personal attack? Would you care to refute anything I've said or is that all you can come up with? I don't know how old you are or if you've ever been in business, but it seems as though you have lots of lessons to learn in life. People skills, comes to mind, no need for personal attacks in a discussion. When my daughter was 5, she learned that "Life is not fair." You need to learn that too. Maybe you'd like to invest a few thousand dollars in mags, get them at dealer prices, and sell them at a fair price? I know everyone here would buy them from you at a "fair" price. Would that be fair or do you just want to type in wise ass remarks while sitting in front of your computer screen spouting off insults and telling us how you'd run a business? (which is called communisn or socialism at it's worst). Would you like the government to appoint someone who decides what prices are "fair" and force companies to charge only those prices? That is called communism/socialism. In a free market place, companies have the right to charge anything they want. If they charge too much, you vote with your dollars and put them out of business. The only exception is gouging on life's needs during a disaster. That's called price gouging and it's well defined. You don't need these mags to live. When you are done trying to have a pissing contest and trying to insult me, say something something intelligent. I'm ready to learn, even with the few brain cells I have left. Better yet, call that company up and tell them you don't think they are "fair." If you'd like to discuss this with me off line and not waste bandwidth here, my email is:

Well, I think you made the first personal attack. I was just pointing out that the prices they were selling magazines for was outrageous, else the uninformed may part with their cash. Am I not allowed to state my opinion anymore? Then stokstad thought I was attacking him, of which I had no intention, then you come along trying to teach me a lesson in economics while I'm talking about business ethics.

I don't know how old you are or if you've ever been in business, but it seems as though you have lots of lessons to learn in life. People skills, comes to mind, no need for personal attacks in a discussion. When my daughter was 5, she learned that "Life is not fair." You need to learn that too.

I know life isn't fair, but was I complaining about that? I had no intention of buying the magazines myself, see the above comments. You coming in here and basically scold me out of context, which doesn't say much for your 'people skills' either. Oh, and FYI I'm sure they're well under $20 in good ol' Russia. They were $20 here after the importer, distributor and dealer took their cut.

Maybe you'd like to invest a few thousand dollars in mags, get them at dealer prices, and sell them at a fair price? I know everyone here would buy them from you at a "fair" price. Your going off the deep end again. Once again, they already got these things at the normal price and were making a profit, they just happened to get greedy all of the sudden. Like I said, this is an issue of business ethics and letting people know that they were jacking the prices way up. If they still want to pay out the rear, fine. The same people were willing to pay EAA $40 a mag for hicaps when they could do an AK mag conversion for $2 and use $10 AK mags. That's their choice though. Also, communism is the government ownership of practically everthing. What that has to do with me and my opinion of reasonable prices for products is anyones guess. It's not like I'm actively petitioning to get this business closed if they don't change their ways, I just made a comment.

See above.

Yes, you vote with your dollars as do I. I'm also spreading the word to those who don't know that those prices are high and there are cheaper alternatives, or are you going to try and condemn me for supposedly having communist thoughts again?

Price gouging only happens when peoples lives depend on something? You might want to rethink that concept of yours... Actual definition:

Price Gouging

n : pricing above the market when no alternative retailer is available

When you are done trying to have a pissing contest and trying to insult me, say something something intelligent. I'm ready to learn, even with the few brain cells I have left. Better yet, call that company up and tell them you don't think they are "fair."

If you would take the time to read replies and not jump to conclusions, maybe my last post would have had something more useful to say. You also need to lay off the communism/socialist crap, the red scare ended long ago and no I'm not one. On the other hand, I do have the right to tell people what I think about their prices and to warn others about them. Joeken is a good example. Go order from them some time, I'm sure after waiting over 3 months for a part despite them charging your credit card, you'll have wished you listened to comments made by people about their business rather than calling them communist or socialist.

You are not attacking anyone, they just think you are, right? I'm smoking someing? I might hurt someone? Like I said before, if you'd like to discuss this with me off line and not waste bandwidth here, my email is:

Say what ever you want on this forum, I won't be replying to anything else you have to say (and I know you will have something else to say).

I've got work to do before the communists take over. There is one under every rock trying to poison us with floride in our water supply. Gotta go jack the prices up on my website before the democrat/socialists/commies take over the magazine industry and start price controls, but that's just my opinion.

No hard feelings, truce? I doubt we'd get anywhere even if we did communicate privately.
