HogBlaster 0 Posted October 25, 2008 Report Share Posted October 25, 2008 Yesterday on my way to lunch at Doe's, I passed one of the homeless guys in that area, with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." Once inside the Doe's,even my waiter had on a "Obama 08" tee shirt. When the bill came, I decided NOT to tip the waiter and explained to him while he had given me exceptional service, that his tee shirt made me feel he obviously believes in Senator Obama's plan to redistribute the wealth. I told him I was going to redistribute his tip to someone that I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. He stood there in disbelief and angrily stormed away. I went outside, gave the homeless guy $3 and told him to thank the waiter inside, as I had decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy looked at me in disbelief but seemed grateful. As I got in my truck, I realized this rather unscientific redistribution experiment had left the homeless guy quite happy for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn. Well, I guess this redistribution of wealth is going to take a while to catch on with those doing the work.... Quote Link to post Share on other sites

As long as it's someone else paying the bill, unlike in this case, it's fine with them. They think that the people at the top should pay a higher percentage. I wonder what percentage the people at the top pay in taxes and what percentage of the wealth they own. A "progressive tax" system is an oppressive tax system, what we need is no income taxes or a true flat tax with no exceptions. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

It is also the simplest while vivid example of what life to come has in store for us! Redistribution of wealth!!! I left Russia and moved to the US so I would not have to hear these "great" ideas, or be a part of them ever again! But little did I know - here they are again!!! But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program... This is so true!!! The only bright & sad side to this is that I will no longer have to attempt to explain to folks what life was like back in the USSR, they will very soon live and experience it first hand!!! Actually this is just a humorous parable that has been surfing around the net these past few weeks... I doubt very highly that any one of our members can take the credit for its inception...
