Gas Cylindar Quick Question

I am going to the range today to try out my s12 for the first time.

if i tightened up the gas tube all the way & back it off, the first position it locks into is 2.

 

i read i should start of with 1

so to the left i screw to 1. now if it dosnt cycle, do i screw right back to 2 almost tight.

or looser to the left to 2?

 

i read the Tromix info, but it didn't say what first lock number was.

also searched here.

 

going to cycle 80 rounds of 12g, 2 3/4", 9 shot, Winchester Light target load..

such a newb...

If it doesn't cycle on 1, screw in clockwise to 2. Back to where you started. Hope this helps. Good luck today.

The gloppy factory paint may keep you from being able to screw the blind plug in far enough. I had to run a file over the end of the gasblock to get the paint smooth so the blind plug would go in far enough to start at 1.
