Prodge 0
I am a newb when it comes to AK's/variants..so forgive me if this is a silly question. When was the side mount first introduced? Did original/old/first (whatever the correct term is) AK's have them? I see photos of AK's that don't have them so I was just wondering. Thanks Edited January 6, 2009 by Prodge
Agias 0
If we're talking about russians, the sidemounts were around in the AKM times as factory option (N suffix means it has the side mount, for example RPKN), but they only became standard with the AK-74M as far as i know. Similiarly with other countries, most of them got side rails around the time they adopted 5.45. Edited January 6, 2009 by Agias
