tab1324 0
I'm making the assumption that the pistol grip hole just get's cut into where the original (and crappy I might add) trigger hole is. Also, I'm installing a Dragunov or Tigr stock with thumbhole - do I need to cut off the rear trunion and just mount it with the pistol grip bolt - or is there a cutout in the stock for the trunion mounting hole? I haven't got the stock yet otherwise I could probably answer my own question. To make it legal, I plan to make a floor plate for my russian mag. Do I need to stamp it US? or something. I'll probably just buy US mags too, but I'd like to keep the original and still be able to use it legally. Tom B.
acercanto 6
Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you use the Russian 8-rounders, 922® doesn't apply since one of the "evil" features that invokes 922 is a mag with > 10 rounds. At least that's how I've always heard it. Quite possibly talking out my ass, Acer

tab1324 0
922r applys if using magazines capable of holding more than ten rounds for rifles, more than five rounds for shotguns (except for guns imported prior to the passage of 922r). I must have missed that.... So, I can stick a foreign stock on there, move the trigger group (only 3 US parts) and still use my stock mag - even if it's been converted to a 10 rounder? Sweet. I like easy..
